India became my second home in 2016

My parents exposed me to different cultures from a very young age, and a 1980 trip to India laid the groundwork for a lifelong fascination. So when Royal Dutch KPN assigned me to help transform its India-based IT workforce, it felt like a natural continuation of my journey. I lived and worked in Pune, India, between 2016 and 2021, and this period cemented my love for this vast country. For as long as I’m here, I always try to counter the misconceptions about this immense country; I love the people, the nature, and even try to enjoy the sometimes crazy traffic.

I currently lead the expanding Indian operations of a Dutch organisation
After I returned to the Netherlands in 2021, I worked on various projects at Royal Dutch KPN. It was in the spring of 2022 when the founders and shareholders of WorldEmp approached me – two entrepreneurs I had met during one of their visits to India. We got along well and decided to ‘join forces’. I’ve been back in India since the beginning of 2023, leading the expanding Indian operations of WorldEmp.
